7th Annual Children's Book Festival presented by Live Oak Public Libraries

Savannah's Forsyth Park is the place to be on November 13, 2010 for the debut of the first book from C.O.P.E. For Change written by founding director Sandy Baker.

This book guides children through fun daily challenges to learn more about themselves as they relate to food, exercise, body image and coping skills for life. Journal pages are throughout the book for reflection.

Come out and join us, buy a book and help C.O.P.E. For Change conquer the childhood obesity epidemic. All money goes directly to C.O.P.E. For Change in order to offer services to more children.

The Children's Book Festival highlights well known authors and illustrators as well as local talent. You'll be amazed at all the fun children's books for you to see!

C.O.P.E. For Change sessions

C.O.P.E. For Change is a program which addresses healthy coping skills for children to incorporate into their lives. By learning wise behavioral choices children can avoid the pitfalls that lead to obesity, emotional eating and other food dysfunctions.

Currently C.O.P.E. For Change is being taught at the Summer Program at the West Broad Street YMCA in Savannah, Georgia.

Plans are for C.O.P.E. For Change to also be taught at the Kid's Cafe feeding sites in Savannah through their summer program. Kid's Cafe is through America's Second Harvest Food Bank in Savannah.
